SSI's Advanced Adventurer program was created so you can try out a variety of specialty courses before you commit to completing a full course. It's a great way to experience what advanced training is all about and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures.

To earn the certification for Advanced Open Water Diver, you must complete 4 specialty courses and have done a total of 24 dives.
REACT RIGHT is SSI's Emergency Training Program. Learn the How-to of FIrst Aid, CPR, AED, and oxygen administration in diving emergenciesas well as emergency assessment so that any emergency situation can be evaluated properly.

The SCIENCE OF DIVING program treats all areas of dive theory to a detailed and comprehensive manner: physics, physiology, decompression theory, marine life and diving equipment.
Whether you simply want more knowledge or plan to become a Dive Professional, Science of Diving is just what you need!
This program is using practical application and background information. The goal is to create well-prepared, versatile and marketable Dive Professionals. SSI Dive Guides can lead and guide certified divers. Additionally, after passing the Snorkeling Instructor program, a Dive Guide can teach and issue Snorkeling certifications.
Dive Guide plus the Science of Diving program equals Divemaster. Divemasters can assist SSI Instructors with pool/confined water and open water training under the direct supervision of an SSI Instructor. This brings valued experience for all future diving carriers!
Enroll in a Dive Control Specialist program or enter the program as a Divemaster from any approved agency. After you are certified you can teach Scuba Skills Update, Snorkeling and Try Scuba (pool only) and you can even upgrade Training Specialist - a further step at your career ladder.
From the time man had the urge to explore the underwater world, the pleasures were denied to the vast majority until scuba training and equipment were developed in its present form. Now that diving is accessible to anyone, there is a high demand for people who have a passion for diving and want to share that experience with others.
For SSI, the most important step in a Dive Professional´s career is becoming a person who can train new divers – the SSI Open Water Instructor.
Now that you have moved beyond recreational diving with Extended Range, there is more!You need to choose a pathway, or you can do all three – Technical Deep, Technical Wreck or Full Cave.Then you need to collect diving- and training experience to qualify for the higher rating(s).
The SSI Technical Extended Range Instructor Programs demand a certification on diver level plus adequate diving experience in the area you want to qualify for
After your Open Water Instructor, you can start working towards Specialty Instructor. You can qualify by attending Specialty Instructor Seminars or co-teaching Specialty Programs with a qualified instructor. If you already hold Specialties as a Training Specialist, they will be automatically upgraded to Specialty Instructor.
Simply qualify for a total of four Specialty Instructor ratings, issue 15 Specialty certifications and you automatically upgrade to the Advanced Open Water Instructor. You are now qualified to teach the Snorkel Instructor program, plus any other Specialties you are qualified to teach.
As with Extended Range this course allows you to dive to 45 meters and 20 minutesof accelerated decompression time using one stage decompression gas (oxygen). The program can only be completed wearing a full technical total diving system. In addition to using nitrox, you will be qualified to use Trimix with a minimum oxygen content of 21%. The Limited Trimix program is specifically designed to reduce nitrogen narcosis in the extended range diver.
As SSI creates more Nitrox and Trimix divers the call for qualified gas blenders is ever growing. Be a real asset to your dive centre with Gas Blender.
As Advanced Open Water Instructor you are eligible to become a Dimaster Instructor. This is an important step in the continuation of your Dive Professional career! As a Divemaster Instructor you are qualified to issue Science of Diving, Dive Guide and Divemaster certifications.
After attending a seminar you get certified. You can now train Dive Control Specialists (Assistant Instructors), and assist in Instructor Training Courses (ITC). After Upgrade and Crossover training conducted by the SSI Service Center a Dive Control Specialist Instructor can also conduct Instructor Crossovers.
The Cavern Diving program introduces recreational divers to the wonders of diving in overhead environments. Divers learn basic line and navigation skills and what do in the
event of silt out or lost diver. This program is conducted within the daylight zone to a maximum depth of 40m.
SSI Instructors are only allowed to teach if they are affiliated with an SSI Facility. This concept - unique in the industry - allows direct monitoring of all active SSI Dive Professionals to ensure the highest quality education.
The Scuba Ranger Instructors who teach children diving school courses have not only been deemed excellent divers by our strict SSI standards, they have also had special training in how to teach diving to children specifically. During the Scuba Rangers sessions and club activities, safety always comes first; the instructor-student ratio is always respected, and sufficient medical resources are always close at hand.
